Alec Appelbaum (Camden County CC) has been named the NYCBL Pitcher of the Week. Appelbaum earned two victories on the mound for Hornell this week.

Appelbaum allowed only one run (earned) in 9.1 innings of work this past week. He allowed five hits and walked four while striking out 10.

In a victory over Genesee, Appelbaum came out of the bullpen and allowed just one hit and one walk in 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. Two days later, he threw a complete game in a victory at Rochester. In that game he allowed one run on four hits while walking three and striking out eight.

On the year, Appelbaum has a 2-0 record with a 2.64 ERA in 17 innings of work

This is the second straight week a Dodger has been honored with a Player of the Week honor. Brendan O'Donnell (Rider) was named the Player of the Week last week.
