Alex Dupuy (LSU Eunice) was named the NYCBL Player of the Week. He had a big week as the Hornell Steamers were 5-0.
Dupuy hit .525 (10 for 19) on the week. He hit three doubles, two homer, and drove in 11 runs. He scored 13 times, walked five times and was hit by three pitches. He was also 8 for 8 on the basepaths.
On the year, Dupuy is hitting .320 with 12 doubles, four homers, and 29 RBI.
Dupuy is the third Steamer to earn a NYCBL weekly honor. Braden McLin and Wes Carter were honored previously.
Hornell, the #1 seed in the Western Division, will host #4 Olean tomorrow night (7/23) in the Western Division semifinals. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
