Thank You

Thank You!

Normally, I wait until the end of the season to write a post like this, but I thought more eyes might be on it now—so here we go!

Since 2005, I’ve had the honor of serving as General Manager of this franchise, and I truly believe we are a model organization—one that strives to do things the right way and to the best of our ability.

That wouldn’t be possible without the incredible team that surrounds this franchise: a dedicated group of volunteers, host families, fans, and sponsors who help make this experience a reality for our community and for players from across the country - and even the world.

I'd like to take a moment to thank:

  • Our Board of Directors

  • Our incredible host families (who we’ll be honoring before Wednesday’s game)

  • Our hardworking interns on the field and in the press box

  • Our athletic trainer, Lindsey

  • Michael, James, and Jeff for their countless hours in the Dining Cart—along with many other volunteers

  • Our coaching staff: Colin, Jake, Tim, Brody, and Devin

  • Our players

  • Our sponsors

  • And of course, our loyal fans who show up game after game

A special thank you goes to my own family - Kate, Braden, and Emma. While they may not always love the long hours we spend at the ballpark, they support this team in more ways than most people ever see - from cooking meals for players, to cutting tickets, running the scoreboard, and organizing gear. I couldn’t do this without them.

This organization isn’t owned by anyone - t’s a labor of love for our community. If you’ve enjoyed your time at Maple City Park, connected with our players, or just shared a summer night with a hot dog and a drink, consider getting more involved. We’re always looking for new ideas, new sponsors, new host families, and new fans.

I'll close with this thought:

From my usual spot in the press box, I often see families and kids enjoying time together. It’s easy to close my eyes and picture Wyatt Argentieri, Ty Kenney, Jared Ainsworth, Andrew Davis, Jake Kenney, Logan Hoyt, Jamie Rose, Matt Stewart, and so many other local kids doing the same with their families over the years.

My goal has always been to keep this organization going for the next generation. I look forward to the day when we see Colin Fetzner, Eli Ahrens, Myles Dyring, Lennon Hadsell, and more young players from our area wearing Steamer Red, White, and Blue (and maybe even a little Green).

Hope to see you at the park for our final games of the season—and if you’d like to join our team, don’t hesitate to reach out!
